Vandana ke in swaron men
Ek swar mera mila lo,

Vandana ma ki na bhoolo
Rag me jab masta jhoolo
Archana ke ratna kana men
Ek swar mera mila lo
Jab hriday ka tar bole
Shrinkhala ke bandha khole
Hon jahan bali sheesh aganita
Ek sir mera mila lo.

Interpretation 

Let my solitary note mingle
With the song of homage to the mother

Forget not thy salutations to the mother
Even when you are lost in song

In thy offering of precious stones
Let this fragment be accepted

When the hearts' lute sings
And bursts through all barriers
Where countless heads are offered for sacrifice to thee
Let mine be one of them.
