The Kashmir House is one of the oldest structures and houses of the Doon School. A donation by Maharaja Hari Singh of Kashmir for the construction of the House resulted in the name of Kashmir House. The house is situated next to Hyderabad House in the front of the Main Field.

Saarthak Gupta has represented the school in the Inter-School Banshidhar Chess Tournament held at The Doon School and he won all his matches
Jai Ahuja participated in squash nationals.
Samarjit Singh, has won the gold medal in the U19 Uttarakhand Inter-School Shooting Championship between 4th and 6th September and is only in C form
Samarjit has prepared for the U18 Indian team as well as the All India Inter-School Shooting Championships

Founders 2011: Opening of the Kashmir House Photographs on 29th October 2011

• Chief Guest: Oldest Old Boy in Dehradun: Mr Anant Ram Iyer 250 K(1939 Batch)
• K House will also sell two pieces of memorabilia. One is a plate which has the Kashmir House design and the Doon School as well as the House logo and the other is a pair of coffee mugs with the same design. The entire proceeds will go in further developing the House library
• A Kashmir House sketch will be released made by Alawi Singh (576-K)
• A CD containing all photographs will be gifted to all present for this occasion

This event was a great success, as Mr Anant Ram Iyer spoke of his memories of his Housemaster, Mr Jack Gibson and the adventures the boys had on their mid-terms.  

Plans are now in place to prepare for Kashmir House’s 75th celebrations in 2012
