The Econocrat

In the Econocrat, boys write on business and economic issues confronting our society and the world at large. The foremost requirement to be able to contribute to such a magazine is the ability to write in depth on any given topic. This naturally fosters a culture where boys are willing to do some research by reading regularly the leading newspapers and magazines, as well as the wider texts required by top universities who wish to see boys thinking as economists. The boys develop a penchant for some reflection and serious thinking and are required to make a critical analysis of the issues. Whilst going through the rigour of economic debate which this activity demands, a club of budding scholars is created. Boys will thus be in an interesting position to play a crucial role as India takes its place on the world stage as a global economic power.
