The Library Council hosted a visit from internationally acclaimed author Ashok Banker on 12th October. He has been an author who began his career writing crime novels. His novel, Kali Rising a contemporary feminist thriller series featuring only women protagonists. The first novel Blood Red Sari was launched at the Tata Literature Live! Literary Festival in Mumbai in November 2012. Banker is best known for his Ramayana Series. He spoke to boys and pupils from other schools locally about the importance of developing a reading habit that widens vocabulary, develops grammar and punctuation.
