Rohit Handa was born in Lahore in 1937, He is an old Stephanian with a honours degree in Econoimcs fron Delhi University and an M.A. in Political Economy from Johns Hopkins in Maryland U.S.A. He has worked vairously in field of economics and business having been Economics Correspondent and Assistant Editor in the Indian Express. While with the paper he was a correspondent in the 1965 Indo-Pak War and there after headed two companies and ran an export oreinted business.
 
He is the author of three books: two novels Comrade Sahib ( 1977 now republished in 2009) and A Twisted Cue (2003) and Policy for India's Defence (1980) he is presently working on a third novel and a travelouge.
