LIBRARY INFORMATION
The Doon School Library known as the KILACHAND LIBRARY provides academic resources for all constituents of the school -students, faculty and administrative staff. The library strives to make resources readily accessible when and wherever they are needed to enhance and promote the total growth and development of the students. The library endeavors to provide students with opportunities to learn how to utilize materials in a variety of formats to access information so that they can continue lifelong learning.
A library collections stand out around 18,000 documents consists of books and multimedia on variety of subjects. There are 32 computers with intranet and internet connectivity available in the library for academic use. Library provides reprographic services along with scanning and color printouts to its patron.
LIBRARY HOURS
The Kilachand Library offers a number of specialized services and maintains a schedule of hours that is best suited and utilized by its members.
The Kilachand Library is open to its members on all seven days, except on school calendared holidays and national holidays. Library operates as per under mentioned schedule till further notice:

It is a comprehensive database that provides users with a broad spectrum of information on thousands of authors and their works across literary disciplines and timeframes. It contains full text for more than 31,000 plot summaries, synopses and work overviews, nearly 100,000 articles/essays of literary criticism, more than 179,000 author biographies (including more than 22,000 in-depth bios), nearly 450 literary journals, more than 644,000 book reviews, more than 71,000 classic and contemporary poems, more than 18,000 classic and contemporary short stories, more than 5,800 author interviews, more than 8,200 classic texts and much more. It is a comprehensive research database that provides easy access to a multitude of full text science-oriented content. This database contains full text for nearly 640 science encyclopedias, reference books, periodicals, etc. IP address restricted access. On site access only.

LIBRARY COUNCIL
Library Council (LC) is the apex supervisory body of the library, which reviews and recommends library services and collections.
It consists of:

- Five teacher’s representatives- nominated by Librarian
