The Doon School seeks to appoint a well-qualified and effective Resident Doctor. The successful applicant must have the passion and an unwavering belief in the difference that they can make to the health and well being of the members of the community.
Candidates are required to have an MBBS degree. Candidates are expected to have a minimum of 10 years of experience as a Medical Professional. The candidate should have registration with All India Medical Council and Uttarakhand Medical Council. The Doon School is a fully residential school and the medical professional is responsible for the health and wellbeing of the students and staff.

The School Doctor is responsible for the health and wellbeing of the students and the community in his/her care. The School Doctor leads a team of nursing and support staff to manage the Wellness Centre on campus that is open 24 hours a day when the School is open and its programmes are running. The School Doctor is a member of the Pastoral Care Team.
The School Doctor is expected to keep himself/herself up to date with best practice in community health, first response and compliance and use his/her professional network and the Schools affiliations to remain up-to-date in school health leadership.
The School Doctor will live on campus and is expected to involve himself/herself actively in the life of the School. This may be in the classrooms, on the sports field, in the outdoors, and travelling with the students when required.
