The Doon School is the Dehradun Centre for the Trinity College London music examinations, which take place in May and November yearly. A large number of candidates from School, as well as young people from Dehradun and Mussoorie, take this examination in various grades, in piano, Classical guitar, drum kit and saxophone. Additionally, the Trinity Rock& pop exams see a number of our students appearing in performances on the electric and bass guitars, drums and keyboards.

On September 11th, the Trinity Academic Support team, comprising the North India Regional head, Mrs Anjli Mata, and Mr Ritesh Khokhar, conducted a workshop for teachers in Dehradun as well as some of our students. The day-long seminar had hands-on  sessions in the aural perception tests and improvisation,  and   lively discussions on the assessment criteria and  performance requirements. The workshop was moderated by the School`s Director-Music, Mrs Priya Chaturvedi, who began the Trinity  music programme  both in The Doon School and in Dehradun. The challenging nature of this examination system, and the internationally recognized certification it offers, has seen a steady growth  over the  13 years since its inception.”
