FAQs

A1. Participants will be lodged in designated accommodations arranged by the conference organizers. All delegates will be housed in the boarding houses, and the guest teachers will board at Masters’ Residences on The Doon School Campus.

A2. Transportation for visiting schools will be organized by the event organizers, covering pick-up and drop-off at Dehradun Airport. Detailed information on schedules will be communicated beforehand. Internal transport during the conference is our responsibility.

A3. A comprehensive schedule outlining the events and activities of ISSC 2024 will be provided to all participating schools closer to the event date.

A4. Schools can register for the conference by filling out the Consent Form, expressing interest in attending the conference, by February 9, 2024. Detailed registration instructions will be shared in advance, ensuring a smooth process for schools and students.

A5. The theme ‘Breaking Boundaries: Global Collaboration in Science & Technology’ propels our conference to explore interdisciplinary dimensions within Science and Technology.

A7. Meals during the conference will be arranged by the organizers. Participants with dietary restrictions can communicate their needs, and accommodations will be made accordingly. We will be sharing diet preferences with the registered participants in advance.

A8. Dehradun experiences a cool and pleasant winter season. Daytime temperatures typically range from 7 to 20 degrees Celsius (45 to 68 degrees Fahrenheit), while night-time temperatures can drop to around 1 to 10 degrees Celsius (34 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit). It’s advisable to bring warm clothing, including jackets, sweaters, and layers, especially during the evenings and early mornings when temperatures are cooler.

A9. Throughout the conference week, students will visit places of scientific and cultural significance. All visit details will be mentioned in the Conference Schedule.

A10. All participating schools will be responsible for the airfares of their students and teachers.
All accommodation costs, meals, local transport, and conference activities for member schools will be met by the host school, The Doon School, in recognition of the cost of travel to the host school by the delegates.
