Doon competes at the Duke of Edinburgh Golf Tournament September 2014

The Doon School competed at the Duke of Edinburgh golf tournament held at the Delhi Golf Course on September 19th 2014. Anant Singh Mann and Ekamveer Singh Guron competed against forty eight players from twenty two schools, which included Vivek High School, Vasant Valley School and The John Conon and Cathedral School from Mumbai. The team’s expenses were largely sponsored by Hero Cycles to the sum of Rs. 30,000. Anant and Ekamveer had an opportunity to play the 5th hole of the tournament with golfing legend Colin Montgomery. Doon faced stiff competition against nationally ranked golfers and golfers who have represented India at international tournaments. The boys put on a wonderful performance and in their respective categories, Anant Singh Mann stood 16th and Ekamveer Singh Guron stood 6th.The school was placed 9th overall.
