We are honoured to welcome Mr Aroon Purie (85 J – 1960) as the Chief Guest for The Doon School’s 90th Founder’s Day Celebrations.

Mr Aroon Purie is the Founding Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of the India Today Group, India’s most respected and diversified media conglomerate spanning print, television, digital, and social media. An alumnus of The Doon School and the London School of Economics, and a Chartered Accountant (UK), he completed the Advanced Leadership Initiative Fellowship at Harvard University in 2024.

Under his leadership, India Today became the country’s most trusted news brand, and Aaj Tak emerged as India’s leading news channel and the first globally to cross 50 million YouTube subscribers.

Recipient of the Padma Bhushan (2001), Mr Purie continues to steer the Group with integrity, credibility, and innovation, upholding its legacy of excellence in Indian journalism.
