Día del Libro at The Doon School: A Celebration of Spanish Language, Culture, and Cuisine

The Doon School recently celebrated Día del Libro, immersing students in the richness of Spanish language and culture. The event featured inspiring talks by Ms. María Gil Burman (Instituto Cervantes), Dr. María Eugenia González Medina (Embassy of Spain), and Mr. Vikash Kumar Singh (IGNOU), who highlighted the many opportunities that come with learning Spanish.

A standout moment was the Spanish debut of Las cuatro pastillas fantásticas, a skit written and directed by C Form student Aviraj Singhvi. The celebration included student performances, engaging presentations on Día del Libro, La leyenda de San Jordi, and Día E, along with a fun quiz. Guests ended the day enjoying a Spanish food festival featuring churros, burritos, patatas bravas, and more.
