The Doon School Poetry Society believes every child has a story or poem trying to come out of their free minds. It is a creative writing STA that offers the boys an opportunity to share their love of language and to hone their own writing and poetry skills. This STA includes engaging and fun-filled activities for speaking and writing. The boys go through an imaginative learning experience and create something magical. The STA aims at helping boys to develop their unique style of writing and expressing themselves. It helps the boys to:

• Express themselves better
• Improve their communication skills
• Boost their confidence and self-esteem
• Explore a range of literary concepts in an imaginative and enjoyable way
• Improve their writing process
• Appreciate a variety of writing styles
• Experiment with different genres
• Write for a variety of readers
• Expand their vocabulary and improve their expression

This STA is open to boys of all ages writing in varied genres – narrative, fantasy, horror, suspense and romance.
